Rewarding your players’ votes

This guide explains, step by step, how to give an in-game reward to every player who votes for your server on MineRadar.

Which method should I pick?

Method 1: the MineRadar plugin (easiest)

  1. Download MineRadar.jar (Spigot or Paper, from 1.7 to the latest version) and put it in the server’s plugins/ folder. Restart.
  2. On MineRadar: profile → your server → Rewards tab → Generate my command.
  3. Copy the /mineradar setup … command and type it in the server console. The plugin answers “All set!”.
  4. To choose the reward, edit rewards in plugins/MineRadar/config.yml (one command per line, %player% = the player) then type /mineradar reload. /mineradar status shows the status.

rewards:
  - "give %player% diamond 1"
  - "eco give %player% 100"

Method 1: Votifier

  1. Download NuVotifier and put the .jar file in your server’s plugins/ folder. Restart.
  2. Open plugins/NuVotifier/config.yml (or plugins/Votifier/). Note the port (8192 by default) and the token under tokens → default. Details: NuVotifier’s official guide.
  3. Make sure this port is open to the outside. With a host, you often have to add it in the panel (“Ports” or “Allocations”).
  4. On MineRadar: profile → your server → Rewards tab. Paste the port and token, save.
  5. Click Test the connection, then send a test vote with your username. What is left is the plugin that gives the reward: see below.

Set up VotingPlugin (or another reward plugin)

NuVotifier receives the vote, but another plugin gives the reward. The most used one is VotingPlugin. It only rewards a vote if the service name matches: for MineRadar it is MineRadar (case does not matter).

  1. Install VotingPlugin like NuVotifier, then restart.
  2. Open plugins/VotingPlugin/VoteSites.yml and add the block below (your Rewards tab gives it already filled in with your vote link).
  3. Change the reward (Commands, Messages…) then run /av reload.
  4. Send a test vote from MineRadar. The console should show “Received a vote from service site 'MineRadar'”, and /av servicesites should list MineRadar. More: VotingPlugin docs on service names.
plugins/VotingPlugin/VoteSites.yml
VoteSites:
  MineRadar:
    Enabled: true
    ServiceSite: 'MineRadar'
    VoteURL: 'https://mineradar.games/vote/votre-serveur'
    VoteDelay: 12
    Rewards:
      Messages:
Player: '&aMerci pour ton vote sur MineRadar !'
      Commands:
      - 'give %player% diamond 1'

Another plugin (SuperbVote, GAListener…)? Same idea: if it asks for a service name, enter MineRadar.

Method 2: the MineRadar API

Here nothing is sent to your server: it asks MineRadar who voted. No port to open.

  1. Rewards tab → Generate an API key. Copy it: it is only shown once.
  2. Give it to your plugin or developer, server-side only (never in a web page).
  3. When a player joins or types /vote, the plugin calls claim with their username. If the answer says "reclame": true, it gives the reward. A vote can only be claimed once.
  4. Bonus: classement returns your top voters (month, 30 days or season) and serveur your status and rank, to display them on your website or Discord.

GET https://mineradar.games/api/v1/serveur
Authorization: Bearer mr_…

Extra: announce votes on Discord

  1. On Discord: Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook. You need the “Manage Webhooks” permission. Discord’s official help.
  2. Pick the channel, then click Copy Webhook URL.
  3. Paste the URL in the Rewards tab, Discord part, and save.
  4. Click Send a test message: it should appear in the channel.

Share your vote link

Your Rewards tab gives your vote link. Add ?pseudo= followed by the player’s name to fill it in: handy in a /vote command that sends a personal link.
